About us

Why Kwantify exists

Supplier pricing, profit drivers and negotiation levers have long been kept behind closed doors or locked inside expensive subscriptions. The supplier always knew more than the buyer. Kwantify closes that gap.

It is free, independent, and built for procurement professionals who want practical answers rather than theory.

All content is created using AI but with oversight from an experienced and senior Procurement practitioner.

It empowers Procurement to
01Negotiate better deals
02Talk with authority and credibility in front of stakeholders and suppliers
03Accelerate their workflow
04Deliver on their target

How it's made

Kwantify combines AI research with the judgement of a senior procurement practitioner. AI does the heavy lifting on gathering and structuring information. Every guide is then reviewed by someone who has spent years at the negotiating table. The result is intelligence that is fast to produce, practical to use, and free to everyone.

Also from Kwantify

Supplier risk monitoring is a separate Kwantify tool that tracks financial health, news and other risk signals across the suppliers you work with. It runs as its own site.

Tell us what's useful, what's wrong, and what's missing. Corrections to a guide, a category you want covered, or a training module you'd find valuable — all of it helps.

Tell us which categories you want covered next — what people ask for most is what gets written first.

Inflation, and
which index
you are quoting

Every uplift conversation runs on an index. This page tracks the UK measures a buyer is most often handed — CPI, CPIH, RPI, core CPI and the producer and earnings measures — so you can see where each one sits, how far apart they are, and what that gap is worth on a contract line.

extra cost per £1m of annual spend if the clause says RPI rather than CPI

Why RPI runs hotter

RPI uses an arithmetic (Carli) average where CPI uses a geometric one, which adds a persistent upward bias; it also includes mortgage interest and house depreciation, and covers a different population. The ONS states that RPI does not meet the standard for accredited official statistics, and continues to publish it only because it is still written into contracts.

The practical consequence for a buyer: a supplier proposing RPI indexation is proposing a higher escalator than CPI in almost every year, before any negotiation of caps or reference periods. From 2030 the RPI is planned to be aligned with CPIH methodology, which removes most of the gap.

Series are pulled from the ONS time-series generator by their series IDs and checked against the title ONS returns, so a renamed or retired series is dropped rather than shown under the wrong label. When the live fetch is unavailable the page falls back to the snapshot bundled with the site.
